Glad you enjoyed the credits too.

Thanks config. I'm glad I may have somewhat helped in providing some early education for your daughter. You know, I had initially looked at Sunflowers, but it didn't seem to fit as well and didn't have the range of colours. I decided to stick with a couple that had the swirls in the sky and some olive trees...Bob Turnbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02243657105760780425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-5670167092470805882008-12-30T05:05:00.000-05:002008-12-30T05:05:00.000-05:00@elgringoYeah, the theatrical release included the...@elgringo

Yeah, the theatrical release included these credits, including the "BnL" ident right at the end.

A wise word from a life-long Pixar fan (since Tin Toy, Red's Dream and Luxo Jr); always sit through the credits - since Toy Story 2 (I think) there's been fun little nuggets in the credits.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06897483124159779579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-62230083637162113082008-12-30T04:59:00.000-05:002008-12-30T04:59:00.000-05:00Hey, thanks for putting these together. I've just ...Hey, thanks for putting these together. I've just sat through Wall-E with my 6yo daughter (for the 2nd time on bluray, plus the visit to the cinema earlier). Trying to describe to a 6yo how the imagery in the credits reflects the progression of human art is tricky, but drawing the comparisons with these great pieces of art was simple thanks to your page.

My only suggestion would be to include Van Gogh's Sunflowers.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06897483124159779579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-68278928226842740652008-12-07T20:25:00.000-05:002008-12-07T20:25:00.000-05:00I just watched Wall-E for the first time two night...I just watched Wall-E for the first time two nights ago and I too was quite taken by those closing credits! The screencaps are near the end of the first part of the credits (the entirety of which show the humans relearning everything all over again with help from the robots) just before it cuts to the remaining credits with black background (and some of the characters running around the scrolling words).

Gotta stick around for Pixar credits man!Bob Turnbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02243657105760780425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-79514883127009396072008-12-04T21:11:00.000-05:002008-12-04T21:11:00.000-05:00Wait a minute. Were these in the theatrical cuts or the DVD? Now that I think about it, is the DVD even out yet? I might have missed seeing these awesome credits and that makes me sad.elgringohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16856962746924193109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-2757012613797840582008-12-02T13:44:00.000-05:002008-12-02T13:44:00.000-05:00Great, great film, and a brilliant closing credit ...Great, great film, and a brilliant closing credit sequence.Marc Saint-Cyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06744019216439799084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-73058333960661368312008-11-26T16:34:00.000-05:002008-11-26T16:34:00.000-05:00Total agreement Kurt. I gotta say, I'm kinda wanting to see Hello Dolly! now (with all its sappiness intact).

When I first started hearing about WALL-E I was looking forward to it, but I wasn't sure if my 8 year old would like it. I heard a few folks say that it was too slow in the beginning and that kids would get restless. Pshaw. Not a problem - he loved it.

And the short film Presto on the DVD (which I assume was the short that preceded the film in theatres?) had us all in stitches.Bob Turnbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02243657105760780425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-64054050454392779532008-11-26T14:00:00.000-05:002008-11-26T14:00:00.000-05:00One of the best closing credits sequences EVER. Brought a smile to my face to see these side by side, but I like that the credit sequence ties into the theme of the movie that art evolves (even pappy-sappy Hello Dolly! can be transcendent under the right circumstances). That the WallE credits gives a visual history lesson on the emotional value of art thru the ages is pretty inspiring.Kurt Halfyardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08101562012826145929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8977893001776125260.post-66254944118332181042008-11-25T07:58:00.000-05:002008-11-25T07:58:00.000-05:00Hi RC!Glad you liked them.
