The Most Awesome Trailer I've Seen In A Long Time
This trailer is stunning:
It's for a documentary called Heima (it may be worth going to the trailer at the film's web site - it took awhile to load, but it's sharper). The film follows the band Sigur Ros around Iceland for a tour of different locations (playing in clubs, fields, etc.) culminating in a large show in Reykjavik. As mentioned in the Opus link below, it seems to be more about the beauty of the band's home country than the band itself...
I want to go to Iceland. Now.

Wow. I downloaded this so I could watch it full screen on my new 24" iMac, and it's just stunning. Iceland has been on our vacation wish list for a long time now. The Icelandic Tourist Board should just send out this DVD when it's finished to anyone who asks about the country.
We've seen the band live, too, and my summary of that experience was that it was "like seeing God."
Can't wait for this to come out. I wonder if a theatrical release might not be a good idea?
I still have yet to acquire a Sigur Ros CD (I've been meaning to for sometime...), but I will rectify that situation soon.
I really hope we get a theatrical release here. Icelandic Air could sell tickets in the lobby after the show...
