I watched the shootout on my computer, frame by frame, as it were. I was amazed at how fast the action took place, yet remained perfectly composed, considering that you have both a moving camera and actors in motion.
Absolutely...Not that I wasn't loving the movie anyway up to that point, but I was surprised at how well that all played out. Especially that terrific tracking shot when Shishido is using the rifle, tosses it away and does his somersault...
I need Nikkatsu Noir Volume 2. Followed by 3. And 4. Etc.

I have a feeling that if Eclipse ever found itself in financial trouble, all they'd have to do is pump out Nikkatsu Noir sets.
